After walking away from working with schools in the summer of 2017, I felt like I missed my purpose in life, my mission, to help schools in the transition to a digital program AND to be a gladiator that would work on their behalf to provide this experience. With much encouragement from my loved ones, discernment, and prayer I decided to follow my heart and move forward with my own company – TextbookHub.
As I have been blessed with amazing relationships in my 13 years working with schools such as Belen Jesuit Preparatory, they were willing to jump in and help me grow from one school that first year to over 150 schools today across the United States. To those early schools that were willing to give my startup a shot, I will forever be grateful. You are the change in education that occurs now and is needed, you are the schools willing to grow with companies like myself, and you are the schools that know that yes, sometimes there will be growing pains, but I will always be there with you and will never stop fighting for you. It takes a lot to have the courage to go with what’s new and help build what’s needed versus stay where you are complacent as it’s often just easier to not change at all and accept a mediocre experience.
150 schools believe in the product and our mission and have contributed to what we are striving to achieve. This year has been huge for us and we appreciate every school that is part of the TextbookHub family.
My continued promise to each and every one of your schools:
- To remain humble and always be ready to pick my phone up when you call whether it’s to say hi or to complain.
- To continue to visit your campuses and share my smile and positive attitude with you – and of course to also bring donuts 🙂
- To remember that at TextbookHub, you’re not just customers, you are family.
- To always fight for what’s best for not just you as school administrators, but also for your parents and most importantly for your students.
Thank you again and Happy 4th Birthday to you, TextbookHub! Here’s to many more!!!
