Simon Collinson joins TextbookHub (01/11/21)

PRESS RELEASE: January 11, 2021, TextbookHub, Inc., has hired Simon Collinson to lead Publisher Business Development, a new position created at the company.

Collinson is an international publishing professional with six years’ experience in eBook development, typesetting, analytics, and metadata management. Before joining TextbookHub, he was Senior Manager of Business Reporting at Rakuten Kobo, where he oversaw publisher and business analytics for internal and external users. Prior to his work in publishing, he practiced law, with a particular interest in copyright.

Collinson is also the co-founder of Tilted Axis Press, a nonprofit press specializing in translated fiction. “As a publisher myself, I know how challenging the problems around the creation and distribution of digital content can be for publishers of all sizes,” he says.

TextbookHub offers a fully integrated digital textbook platform serving independent, private and parochial K-12 schools.

I’ve spent my career helping publishers take advantage of the opportunities offered by the digital revolution in publishing, and I can’t wait to bring better content to more students in this role.”

Collinson is a native of Australia, received his Master’s in Publishing Studies in the UK, and has recently lectured in digital publishing at Ryerson University in Toronto.
