Simon Collinson joins TextbookHub

We are pleased to announce that Simon Collinson has joined the team at TextbookHub as our Publisher Business Development Manager. Simon is an Australian publishing professional with six years’ experience in ebook development, typesetting, analytics, and metadata management.

Prior to joining TextbookHub, Simon was Senior Manager of Business Reporting at Rakuten Kobo, where he oversaw publisher and business analytics for internal and external users.

Simon is the co-founder of Tilted Axis Press, a nonprofit press specializing in translated fiction. From 2018 to 2020, Simon was a guest lecturer in digital publishing at Ryerson University. Previous to his work in publishing, he practiced law, with a particular interest in copyright.

“As a publisher myself, I know how challenging the problems around the creation and distribution of digital content can be for publishers of all sizes,” he says. Simon will work with publishers to ensure a smooth onboarding process for publishers and to support adoption of digital textbooks by our schools.

Simon shares, “I’m looking forward to working with educational publishers to bring their content to students on TextbookHub’s advanced digital platform. I’ve spent my career helping publishers take advantage of the opportunities offered by the digital revolution in publishing, and I can’t wait to bring better content to more students in this role.”
